Explore Cusco – The Heart of the Inca Empire
On the second day, you’ll begin your journey with an early morning flight to Cusco, the historic heart of the Inca Empire. Scheduled between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM, the flight is designed to maximize your time in this captivating city. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a guided tour of Cusco at 1:00 PM, where our knowledgeable staff will take you through the city’s rich cultural heritage. You’ll visit iconic sites such as Koricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun, as well as the impressive archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay.
As the day draws to a close, the evening is yours to explore at your leisure. You can wander through Cusco’s charming streets, visit its unique shops, or dine at one of the city’s renowned restaurants, which offer a delightful mix of traditional and international cuisine. Your accommodation for the night will be at a carefully selected hotel in Cusco, where you can unwind and reflect on the day’s discoveries.

Sacred Valley Wonders
On the third day, you’ll set off early from Cusco at 7:00 AM, embarking on a scenic journey to the Sacred Valley, a region renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and historical significance. Your first stop will be the Pisac Archaeological Site, where you’ll explore the impressive terraces and ancient ruins that offer a glimpse into the civilizations of the past, all while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding valley. Afterward, you’ll head to the town of Urubamba for lunch, where you can indulge in the area’s celebrated local cuisine (lunch at your own expense).
Continuing your adventure, you’ll visit Moray, a fascinating site known for its concentric agricultural terraces, and then the nearby Salt Mines, a testament to ancient Incan ingenuity. The day concludes with a visit to Ollantaytambo, a town famous for its massive, well-preserved Incan fortifications. You’ll spend the night in Ollantaytambo, resting at a comfortable hotel after a day filled with exploration.

Day four marks the beginning of your trek along the legendary Inca Trail. After enjoying a hearty breakfast in Ollantaytambo, our team will accompany you to KM 82, the official starting point of the trail. Here, your trek into the heart of Incan history begins as you make your way to Patallacta, an archaeological site that offers panoramic views of ancient ruins and agricultural terraces, showcasing the advanced engineering skills of the Incas.
As you continue your hike, you’ll traverse diverse landscapes, experiencing the region’s rich biodiversity as you head towards the campsite at Wayllabamba. After a day of trekking, you’ll settle into your campsite under the vast Andean sky, enjoying a delicious dinner and sharing stories with fellow trekkers.

Ascent to Warmiwañusca and Descent into Pacaymayo Valley
On the fifth day, you’ll start with a nutritious breakfast to prepare for one of the most challenging and rewarding sections of the Inca Trail. The day begins with a steady ascent to the trail’s highest point, Warmiwañusca, also known as Dead Woman’s Pass, standing at 4,215 meters above sea level. This climb is a true test of endurance, but the breathtaking views from the summit make every step worthwhile, offering a moment of triumph and awe as you take in the majestic Andean landscape.
After reaching the summit, you’ll begin your descent into the serene Pacaymayo Valley, where the tranquil environment provides a perfect setting for rest and reflection. Upon arrival at the campsite, you can relax and enjoy a well-deserved dinner, sharing the day’s experiences with your fellow trekkers.

Historical Ruins and High Altitude Vistas
On the sixth day, you’ll wake up to a warm breakfast at the Pacaymayo campsite, ready to explore more of the Inca Trail’s historical treasures. The day begins with an ascent to the Runkurakay ruins, an ancient Incan watchtower offering both historical insights and panoramic views of the Andean landscape. After exploring this site, you’ll continue over the Runkurakay Pass, descending towards the intricate ruins of Sayacmarca, known for its complex stonework and mysterious atmosphere.
Following a lunch break, the journey continues towards Phuyupatamarca, often referred to as the ‘Town Above the Clouds.’ This site offers breathtaking views and a unique sense of tranquility as you walk among the clouds. The day concludes at the Wiñay Wayna campsite, located near the beautiful ruins of the same name. This location is ideal for reflecting on your journey and preparing for the final leg of the trek.

Sunrise at Machu Picchu and Return to Cusco
On the seventh day, you’ll start early, setting off towards Intipunku, known as the Sun Gate, to catch the first rays of sunlight illuminating the iconic Machu Picchu. This early morning hike offers a magical experience as the ancient city gradually comes into view, bathed in the soft glow of dawn. Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, you’ll embark on a comprehensive guided tour, where you’ll explore the intricate architecture and learn about the historical significance of this UNESCO World Heritage site, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
After your exploration, you’ll have time to wander around the site or simply relax and absorb the awe-inspiring surroundings. Following your visit, you’ll descend to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll board a train for a scenic journey back to Ollantaytambo, followed by a bus ride to Cusco. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a guided tour of Lima, starting at 2:00 PM. The tour includes a visit to the Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you’ll explore landmarks such as the Central Reserve Bank Museum and the San Francisco complex, famed for its catacombs. These sites offer a deep insight into Lima’s rich colonial past and cultural heritage.
The evening is free for you to enjoy at your leisure, giving you the opportunity to revisit your favorite spots in the city or indulge in a farewell dinner at one of Lima’s renowned restaurants. Your final night in Peru will be spent at a comfortable hotel in Lima, where you can relax and reminisce about your journey.
