Our agency staff picks you up at your hotel (approx. 7:10 a.m.), and then we go to visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, which is the second most beautiful place after the excursions in Machupicchu for its valleys and landscapes. Its people’s living culture, craft markets, and incredible archaeological centers make this tour unforgettable for you.
Arriving in Pisac, you will visit the Pisac craft market where you will find beautiful works in textiles, ceramics, silverware; after visiting this picturesque town we will go to the archaeological center that is located in the upper part of the mountain where we will be able to appreciate the giant agricultural terraces and other Inca constructions that despite being more than 500 years old are still intact, after visiting this place we will continue the tour through the banks of the WILCAMAYU (sacred river) until reaching Urubamba where they will have free time for the buffet lunch of Novoandean dishes.
We will continue until we reach Ollantaytambo, a beautiful town where we can appreciate that the inhabitants still use Inca constructions in their homes. The archaeological center is located in the upper part of the mountain where the temple of the sun continues to impose its majesty; in this place, we finish the tour of the Sacred Valley we must go to the train station. At an indicated time board the train towards AGUAS CALIENTES (Machupicchu town 1-1/2 hours of travel) once arrived at this place the staff of the chosen hotel will be waiting for you at the door from the station, already at the lodging, we will meet the guide of Machupicchu to coordinate the excursions of the next day.
It is necessary to get up very early to take the bus to Machu Picchu to arrive around 6 in the morning; if you are lucky with the weather, you can see the sunrise. We can also see Machu Picchu almost without people; once in Machu Picchu, we have the guided tour for 2 hours, and then you have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own. After visiting Machu Picchu, we return to Aguas Calientes for lunch before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo, and from Ollantaytambo, we will transfer you back to Cusco.
You can add the extra tickets to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain if you wish.

If you no longer have your old passport, any government issue ID will be accepted, as long as the name is the same. Both the permits for Machu Picchu and the train ticket and permits for the mountains of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu are in high demand, sometimes selling out months in advance. For this reason, we recommend that you make your reservation as far in advance recommendable 2 or 3 months in advance.
The Expedition and Vistadome categories offer comfortable leather seats and include a snack and hot or cold drink per person. The first and main difference between both categories is that the Vistadome train has windows on the roof of the cars, which allows a panoramic view of the outside.
