Trek to the most beautiful waterfall that Sacred Valley has for you, Perolniyoc is a stunning waterfall in the middle of nowhere, it has a height of almost 100 meters, and on top of the waterfall there is an archaeological center from the Inca time called Raqaypata, at this place there are houses with two floors, Qolqas that served as warehouses, lodging rooms called kallankas and a ceremonial enclosure, all these were modified in the colonial time to continue using this as administrative control.
For centuries, Perolniyoc was covered by the broad and lush vegetation, the little care threatened that this architectural and archaeological jewel almost disappeared, but it was saved by the inhabitants of the area and the great help of restoration by Ministerio de Cultura.
The Perolniyoc waterfall is located over 3.400 m.a.s.l in the village of Rayan, in the community of Socma, district of Ollantaytambo, province of Urubamba and in the lower part of the archaeological zone of Raqaypata, around this attraction you can also see a variety of species of flora such as elder, queuña, chachacomo, etc.
Enjoying the great legacy of the Inca Culture will always be a fantastic adventure that will move us in time and space towards that moment, in the same way visiting this archaeological zone we will feel that mystical and spiritual feeling, do not forget that you can also combine this tour with the Sacred Valley Tour in 1 Day.
