After having breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up and then drive to Socma, which is in the direction of the Sacred Valley, where we will meet our horseman; you will bring the horses for our stuff, then we begin with our adventure, we will hike to Perolniyoc which is a beautiful waterfall of 100 meters high and crystalline water, this indeed will take your breath away, it will be 1-hour hike to reach it with a gradual uphill, on the top of this waterfall there is an Incan site with the same name.
After we enjoy this beautiful waterfall and take some pictures, we continue our hike to the archaeological site for 1 more hour; this Inca site is known as Raqaypata consists of having houses, colcas (warehouses), kallankas (rooms of massive lodging), and an atmosphere of a ritual ceremony where there is a huaca. Our tour guide will deliver a great history about this site. Next, we continue our hike to the camp, which is at 1 more hour from Raqaypata; when we reach it, we will have a freshly prepared lunch with a beautiful view of the Socma valley.
In the afternoon, we will relax and have tea; then dinner will be served.

Today we will wake you up with a hot coca tea; then we will have a nutritious breakfast to conquer the pass of Pukaqasa (4,378 m / 14,363 ft); after breakfast, we will hike uphill for 3 hours; the trail is super beautiful with a lot of potato fields, quinoa, beans and so on, once we reach the Pukaqasa pass, we will be impressed by the beautiful valley of Ollantaytambo and several snow-capped mountains, then we continue for 20 more minutes to Mamacocha, the place where we will enjoy a succulent lunch prepared by our chef.
After lunch, we keep hiking to Inti Punku (Sun Gate), with some flat and then downhill we will reach to Sun Gate, where we find an Inca construction that was for military purposes since it has a great view of the surroundings, which would have allowed sighting enemies before they reached the citadel of Machu Picchu. We will have fantastic pictures, and then we will continue hiking down for 1 more hour to our campsite in Choquetacarpu.
Upon our arrival to Choquetacarpu, we will have a lovely tea time while enjoying the sunset in the mountains of Ollantaytambo.

Today we will visit the Inca quarry of Cachicata, after a great breakfast in the morning, we start walking downhill from Choquequetacarpu for approximately 1 hour, upon our arrival at the Inca Quarry, our tour guide will deliver a great history about the place, the Incas discovered and exploited a vital stone quarry from which they supplied themselves to build the current living Inca city of Ollantaytambo, where you can see elongated blocks of various sizes that appear to have been carved and serve as lintels in Inca buildings, presumably ready to be mobilized.
After we visit and learn about the Inca quarry, we continue hiking downhill to Ollantaytambo for approximately 2.5 hours; on the way, we will appreciate the pyramid of Ollantaytambo, we will also see several “Chullpas” small-sized circular constructions that are located on top of huge rocks, the Chullpas are built with small rustic pieces, have a roof and a small access door oriented in the direction of sunrise, in these Chullpas must have been buried important people in the Inca time.
Upon our arrival to Ollantaytambo, we will celebrate our victory of the hike with a well-deserved lunch. Our Horseman and Cook will say goodbye, so after lunch, we will walk by the Inca living town of Ollantaytambo; if you want, you can even visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo (Optional), in the evening we have a dinner in one of the restaurant. Then we take the train to Aguas Calientes for 2 hours, we overnight in Aguas Calientes in a nice Hotel.

Today we will finally visit Machu Picchu after you have breakfast at your hotel, we go to the bus station to take the bus to Machu Picchu which takes 30 minutes, upon our arrival to Machu Picchu, we will pass the checkpoint, for this, you must bring your original passport, after that we will explore it for about 3 hours, our tour guide will deliver a brilliant history about Machu Picchu and take you beautiful photos.
Once we finish the guiding tour in Machu Picchu, we will take the bus down to Aguas Caliente, where you have a nice lunch in one of the many restaurants, you can get some recommendations from your tour guide, in the afternoon we will take our train to Ollantaytambo, where our transfer from Huaynas Expeditions will wait for you with your names, he will take you back to Cusco and drop you off at the main gate of your hotel.
